Teddy Llama Bear (Teddy)

Teddy gets his name from, as you guessed, looking like a teddy bear when we got him.  That and his incredibly thick, white hair which reminded us of a little lamb or llama.

The Lhasa Apso comes from Tibet where the priests in monasteries are called Lamas (like the Dalai Lama), so the name was incorporated, but the spelling is like that of the animal, to respect the ancestors of his Buddhist heritage.  The Dalai Lama was the first to introduce the Lhasa Apso to the United States.

Teddy is unable to be shown but he is a wonderful pet with beautiful features, a great personality and is a huge part of our lives.
